@Michael Gilbert: I just did a apt-get update apt-get install xpdf and the resulting xpdf still core dumps. Am I missing something? $ xpdf fu.pdf Segmentation fault (core dumped) $ gdb xpdf [...] (gdb) run Starting program: /usr/bin/xpdf Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault.

Public bug reported: Binary package hint: ghc6 Got the latest cabal-install and trying to install it, I get the below output. $ ./bootstrap.sh Checking installed packages for ghc-6.8.2... network is already installed and the version is ok. Cabal is already installed and the version is ok.
