One thing is certain, the old taskbar window minimizing behavior is not coming back unless the whole taskbar makes it back into Unity. An application dock simply doesn't work that way, like it or not. AWN, docky, cario-dock and OSX (afaik) all do this ?? The only dock i can think of that
