I had the same problem with a fresh installed Ubuntu 15.10 on a new L460 (no
dualboot). After various tries with mainline kernels I found, that

Hi,
as I wrote, there was no more problem, since I used Kernel 2.6.27-11 even if I
enabled HPET (High Precision Event Timer) in BIOS.
Now I switched to 9.04, where all is fine, too, and I'm not able to give more
informations on this bug.

Great. I disabled HPET (High Precision Event Timer) in BIOS, restarted
the klogs and sysklogd services in the Services Administration Tool, and
uncommented the lines in the syslog.conf (Comment #6): No logs were
flooded and no processes were consuming the whole CPU-Power.
