This patch is committed in Saucy. I think I asked to get it backported
into current releases, but I don't think I got a response on that... In

doesn't seem particularly easy to fix it entirely, see #1061307) I'll

Interesting, I downloaded the source to work on this bug, which seems to
have triggered an update notification to show up in the notification
area. After this, I haven't been able to reproduce the crash. I'll play
around with it a bit though, and see what I can come up with.

Thanks. Although I'm having no such luck reproducing this crash now. Is
there a way to create a notification for debugging purposes? I suspect
that this might be caused by a notification coming up when the dock
isn't launched or something like that... Although that seems a bit
peculiar since it
Ya, so creating the indicator when it was closed seems to be fine. If
this was in fact corrupted data from D-Bus or GTK, would there be any
way to verify this? A more likely cause would probably be that a corrupt
indicator was created, or something along those lines.

I had this exact same issue running an Asus Maximus II Formula w/ p45
chipset and ich10r raid 0. The solution for me was a simple bios reset.

Thanks for your reply.
It appears that gvfs-bin is not installed by default. After
installation I was still unable to mount the volume in Nautilus,
receiving this message: Error mounting location: volume doesn't
implement mount.
Let me know if you need more info.

I'm unable to invoke a tty console via Ctrl-Alt F1-F8 in Hardy using the
intel driver in xorg on a Dell Dimension 4600.
The issue appears after X boots, as I'm able to get a boot screen and
see other misc boot information via tty8.
The consoles currently work with the i810
Correction, this is a bug with Gutsy, not Hardy.

I'm having this exact same issue with the exact same details as listed
above.
I'm running an HP Omnibook xe3 and the workaround listed above does not
work. I'm attepmting to install the most recent build (downloaded
today) to a system with no pre-existing linux partitions.
Any further ideas?
