I am also having a similar problem. I have an acer aspire one netbook.
It seems to occur when there is heavy wireless network traffic.
I think it may have to do with the wireless driver.
It occasionally causes a kernel panic for me.

for Debian yet, but I will research a bit and see whats involved.
Per suggestion have included a patch from r26 to fix #118484 aswell.
Updated debdiff is attached.

building library for example, which stay there even after the operation is
completed and only disappear when amarok is minimised/restored.
Amarok is the only app that I have noticed
I had this problem, it was caused by my firewall blocking loopback traffic
after i configured firehol (the firewall builder i use) poorly.
After i fixed this and allowed all loopback traffic, gnome loaded properly
again.
I tested to see if this was the problem by pinging 127.0.0.1 and seeing
I just updated my BIOS and no longer get a kernel panic when booting.

I downloaded and booted the Edgy Live CD to see if it was my upgrade

kernel. (I assume the error was the same, i didn't thoroughly read
everything)
I have tried a few different things to try and get it working to no
avail.
Again,
