Same here with the Ubuntu standard desktop. Compiz crash after login,
may be related to using the eZoom. Despite crash, I still have 3D hw
accel, zoom and window decorations. In relation to this bug I am using
radeon as well.

This seems fixed @ the last few updates. I use Ubuntu classic desktop because
Unity refuse to enable 3d acceleration and effects with my Radeon 9200. Still
having a "close eye" to the availability of compiz enhanced zoom though ;)
