Both paths do not exist in my current installation; I received the message
"No such file or directory" in both cases.

I’ve already tried installing and booting with kernel 5.15, but
unfortunately the touchpad still doesn’t work with it on Ubuntu 24.04.

I tested several kernel versions as you suggested, including 6.8, 6.7, 6.5,
and even 5.15, but unfortunately *the touchpad still doesn't work on any of
them* under Ubuntu 24.04.
The only time it worked was with *Ubuntu 22.04*, which is no longer
installed on my system.

Unfortunately, I no longer have Ubuntu 22.04 installed, and I don't have a

I tried booting with the latest mainline kernel (6.15.0-061500-generic)
from the link you sent:

Unfortunately, the touchpad is still not working, exactly the same as
before.
xinput, libinput, and dmesg show the same results as with the previous
