To echo Jared's experiences, the problem always shows up as I move the
mouse between screens when a program is loading. Firefox is an example,
as is Evolution and GaussView (a computational chemistry 3D viewer).

@Alejandro Cuervo, this is exactly what happens to me. I have four
monitors arranged in an L-shape (see below):

I've seen the mouse get stuck in between screens 2 and 3, and screens 3
and 4.

I also have a four-monitor setup with two graphics cards. I'm also
experiencing the mouse pointer getting stuck + flickering problem after
upgrading to Lucid. I use absolute screen positioning (since my four
