I have resolved the issue. Apparently the "Profile" in "Sound Preferences" changed for on its own to a profile that did not work. Cycling through the profile while playing an audio file resolved the issue. ** Changed in: alsa-driver (Ubuntu) Status: New => Invalid -- [Realtek ID 892] ALS
