I believe you are using an unofficial version of the package
('luminance'), which is conflicting with the one from the repositories
('luminance-hdr').
Please try to first remove the 'luminance' package and then try to
install 'luminance-hdr'.

I have two machines, both running Ubuntu 10.10 Amd64. One of them is
affected by this bug, while on the other the Wammu menu bar shows
correctly.

I don't know if it is related, but I have a custom setup of Eclipse 3.6
under Ubuntu 10.10 and sometimes the Eclipse menu bar disappears as
well. However opening a contextual menu makes it reappear again. The

I'm experiencing this issue too, with an Intel 965 VGA. Moreover, since the
upgrade to Lucid I have also experienced simlar graphics problems with other
applications, namely XMBC and Gnome-Shell. They are both not usable in my

With Hardy sometimes the NetworkManager drops the wireless connection. Until
now it was enough to click again on the wireless network, but recently it's
getting worse and I have to restart the pc.
