I am on 7.10 now.
Trying to print with ipp results in a printer lockup with the printer
reporting a FATAL ERROR 14h
Printing with socket used to work but seems to do nothing now.
hhhmmm...
Reinstalled foomatic and did a getweb 2530...
Printing Ubuntu test page now works in color and printing from
I installed this printer as the detected one and as a tcp or raw as
well. Neither worked. I saw the request for a debug so I thought I would
send that in. I found some info here: http://foo2lava.rkkda.com/ that I
am going to try and see if it works.
** Attachment added: printingbuginfo
After following the steps at http://foo2lava.rkkda.com/ I was able to
print to the printer as a tcp (not detected) but only in black and
white. Color still prints but only in black and white. Here is another
debug. This one actually does work for network printing (BW only) with
tcp/raw.

It appears that the above driver/solution does print to the printer in color,
just not from the print test page of the printer menu. It prints color from
firefox and OO2. Here are the instructions from the INSTALL file after a
download.
