Had the same problem under OpenSUSE, after upgrading to 11.4 RC. My
solution:
Delete all Qt3 libs on the commandline (not in yast or packagemanager):
sudo rm -rf /usr/lib/qt3
Then install the qt3 libraries via yast or some other packagemanager.
This worked for me.

I have the same problem. Seems not so much people use the 'nvidia-new'-module.
Another solution is to create a symbolic link instead of renaming. After that a
'depmod -a' is required (at least for me).
But the build-script should create that symlink or name it correctly so that

No, it does not happen. So for me it's fixed. Thanks!

This is not only a Java problem i.e. in drscheme there is the same error:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/172517
I know this, because I patched my java to not use Xinerama and since
then no java "xcb_xlib_lock: Assertion"-errors.
So Java 7 is no solution, but libxcb has to be fixed.

My drscheme also crashes. But only if I use the mouse (click or move).
Another backtrace is attached.

I just got aware that powernowd isn't used anymore. I always used '-m 2'
like Kai and would prefer 'conservative' governor. But the only way to
change it, is to edit the init-script. That's not a big issue but it's
not the clean way. I would prefer to set an option in

I changed this and the module is in its .../volatile directory.
