I removed ~/.kde/share/config/amarokrc a few days ago and amarok has
been working fine since. So apparently my config file was not compatible
with amarok's version shipped in Maverick and the way amarok handles
this situation is not exactly nice.

amarok UI never shows up but the process is running in background eating

I upgraded to Maverick, it was OK at first, then the issue appeared and

helix84, what is/was your libdirectfb version? Are you sure the bug is
related to directvnc and not to your directfb setup? what does the
dfbinfo command output (from libdirectfb-bin package).
