gnome-translate shows "[custom widget creation failed]" in the place
where the toolbar should appear (the toolbar does not appear).

Expected behaviour: application should have a toolbar (as appears in the
Public bug reported:
when application starts it pops up a message saying "Language detection
not available". I checked the homepage of the program and it seems that
it requires aspell for language detection. Since aspell is installed in
my system, language detection should work.

This bug also affects me.
I left the computer alone for a while (with gedit, gnome-terminal and
gmail open on firefox) and when I came back the screen was black. No
way I could get the screen back. I managed to login from another
computer via SSH and cut the attached traceback from syslog.
