Indeed booting with rf switch on makes NM correctly handle the wireless
connection. If the switch is off at boot time then NM will refuse to
wakeup the wifi card. Note that bluetooth works always correctly and
can be switched on and off with the very same switch.

If the rfkill switch is off at boot time it doesn't metter how many
times you switch it. The wifi will never work. If the switch is on at
boot time the rfkill switch will always works as expected, turning the
wifi on and off.

Recompiling uvcvideo driver from SVN as described in bug #287888 solved the
problem. Now cheese, skype and all other programs interacting with my webcam
work again. Note that running:

worked also with the old driver

lines, this will not solve the problem. Instead don't use window title
at all, or at least define a gconf key to disable those new tooltips.

Sometimes the tooltip tooks even more than the screen width, leaving it
half hidden. btw, I also think that a tooltip is the wrong place to put

I agree with Carlos here, mainly on points 1 and 4.
E.g. if you have a Firefox window on top with a long title the tooltip
uses half the space available on the monitor.

I checked on a working Gutsy and also on the old Ubuntu version file -i

You
Pedro, it is not the cd icon, but just a normal file icon (a .iso file).
Moreover I have the same problem also with other file types (tar.gz and
others).

Pedro, it is some days since I'm experiencing the same issue. I'm using

Also other file types have the same problem (i.g. tar/gzip
I think that if I install an icon theme, the themed icon will probably
be printer and since it is also used in notification area I would use
the same icon for the window too. Anyway not a big issue :)

You should never use the .png extension for the icon in .desktop files, this
will prevent the use of the scalable version when needed. Instead use:
Icon=printer
