Finally found solution and compisite is fully functional.
Solution is to disable PAT support in kernel command line.
Edit file /etc/default/grub and add:
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX="nopat"
Then run update-grub as root and reboot.

I have this same problem on my ThinkPad T60 (locks up on aec62xx, at
91%) using Feisty Herd 3. Going to follow dazog & try a nightly (Fev 11)
build. FWIW, I did not have this problem with Edgy.
