I'm seeing this on lucid on one desktop machine and one Dell Inspiron - particularly frustrating as my job entails staying connected at work during office hours. I do not, ever, use or touch the windows key.
Some or all of the following behaviour might be coincidence, but it might contain useful information, or be worth a try for other users. Probably not a good idea for me to try and investigate it now, as it's already stopped me working once today. Quite often I will be typing quickly and will lock the desktop before I realise it's happened. Restarting X precipitously is hugely undesirable for my work. My current workaround is to ctrl-alt F$whatever and try to login, but unfortunately that breaks sporadically too and I end up typing ^[l^[o^[g^[i^[n and presumably ^[p^[a^[s^[s^[w^[o^[r^[d. If I'm able to log in before I run out of ttys, the problem tends to go away for a while. Plugging in a USB keyboard has no effect on the problem. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/124406 Title: Keyboard keys get stuck and repeat (Feisty, Gutsy) -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
