Had some cool data in there but the fact is turning of SVIDEO speeded up
the boot time to where it is not annoying and or reasonable.
Charge this to SVIDEO as duplicate? Should the SVIDEO device be pulled,

I got this error when attempting to list files with 0.7.18.2.
The root cause in my case was a bad path in an "sftp://; URL. It was

I think that is error is now causing very high CPU usage. Typically my
CPU load averages are under 1. They usually range like thus: .5 to .8
for all time frames (1 min, 5 min, 15 min). Currently my avgs. are 3.00
to 4.00. These high loads started after HPLIP's "No systray" on daily
power up.

I have a Thinkpad X1 Carbon 5th gen, and am also affected. Modprobing
psmouse also temporarily fixes for me (but if comes back if I close the

Was creating two partitions on a single drive, first a physicla volume
for encryption, then an ext2 partition for /boot, booom installer
crashed as soon as I selected "/boot" for the second step.

Wiping the drive with dd: "sudo dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/sda", and
rebooting/restarting the install solved the problem.

We are seeing this too, on Bionic servers installed from netboot / PXE.
Bionic is (still) missing from the Affected

I don't see why importance should be High. There are much more pressing
bugs since the release of 18.04 and this bug hardly even affects
usability.

Downgrading to 3.8.1-10 works!
When it automatically updates back to 3.9.1-1, NetBeans once again stops
working!

Steve: Maybe my comment does not really belong here, I agree. I admit
that I have not fully investigated the problem -- the problem in my case
being that a configuration with static IP does not appear to set the DNS
correctly, either via netplan (and networkd) or via systemd's resolver.

There seem to be a number of workarounds on the Web, and most of them
revolve around modifying either the netplan config file or the systemd
resolver config. None really worked for me -- usually, the resolver
configuration did not survive a reboot.
I found a very unclean (but effective)
