I had already attached a screenshot.
Anyway I double checked now and the button to close the 'Preferences' window
now appears and works, as you can see in the new screenshot that I attach.
As far as I'm concerned I would consider the bug closed.

With the recent update of gnome-weather to version 40.1-1, I no longer
see the anomaly noted above, so from my point of view the bug has been
fixed.

I installed gnome-weather 40.0-1 and it works but I expected that the weather
forecast appeared even in the notification panel while only an empty area
appears; If I carry the mouse pointer on that area, the background color lights

It also happens to me that the terminal window does not get the focus
when I launch gnome-terminal by clicking on the terminal icon, but if I
use the key combination [Ctrl]+[Alt]+T , then the terminal window takes
focus and the terminal cursor blinks.
