My experience:
Samsung NC10 - Ubuntu Remix (9.04) - Microsoft Mouse 5000
First, follow this procedure:

until step 3 (included).
I confirm abais workaround with fresh installation of Ubuntu Remix 9.04
on Samsung NC10.
