Hello,
Sorry it took so long to get back at you. I had to uninstall Ubuntu on
this laptop, but now it's back on. (I missed it!) As of today this is
still an issue. I have posted the information requested below. The first
two cammands are in the text file. I wasn't sure what you meant by

I too can't get my flash to install. I have the flashplugin-nonfree
installed via synaptic, but both firefox and swiftfox says I need a
plugin installed. Also, there are pages that sometimes don't ask for a
plug in (like some youtube) the flash window stays blank when the page
is done loading
