I have installed Kubuntu 7.10 twice, both times Adept offered a version upgrade and both times it failed. The software asked me to report an error in 'update-manager' and made reference to the files /var/log/dist- upgrade/ . I noticed that Ken Mitchell reported an identical error some months ago, so I am hoping that this bug will have been fixed by now.
