This bug makes the launcher look very awkward when a window is maximized
-- there's no shadow between the panel and the window, but there is
between the panel and the launcher. In my opinion, this looks sloppy and
unprofessional. Additionally, when the launcher is set to appear at the

The username on the top left is also difficult to read. On light gray
wallpapers it practically blends into the top bar. I submitted this as
part of a bug (Bug #1042417) but it was just marked as a duplicate of
this one. Shouldn't be too hard to fix; the time on the top right of the
screen is much

Public bug reported:
The login screen (LightDM) looks great for darker wallpapers, but when I
use a lighter wallpaper, two things happen:
1) The white text (for the Ubuntu logo and the other users' names) becomes
difficult to read.
2) The computer name on the top left turns gray.
The vast major
This also happens for me with other Compiz functions, such as the
Application switcher. Logging out and back in makes the panel go back to
normal, and the plugins also work if you don't switch them back, but it
is an annoyance having to do so.

It would be great if the dash were resizable. It takes up a little too
much room in my current setup in my opinion, and allowing for this would
address this bug.

Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: overlay-scrollbar
This is just a minor annoyance, but the overlay-scrollbar's arrows are
off-center for certain GTK themes, such as elementary. The arrows are
properly centered for the default themes, though. Here's a screenshot:

I find OOo to be one of the apps that I use on a regular basis that
looks least like native GTK ... it does fare better with some themes
than others, though. I agree with ubuntolo that a project to convert OOo
to a GTK interface would be wonderful; I don't think it's very likely to
happen, though.
I completely agree. ... What also bothers me is how much of the menu is
grayed out/unclickable. For example, the 'Move to Trash' option really
shouldn't be there. It just takes up space without being functional.
Also, regarding the eject/unmount/safely remove issue, it's been

Still happening in Lucid. I understand that it's a minor problem, but I
agree with Hans in that it really gets on my nerves. It's taking away
screen space and makes the applet look unpolished.

@Vivek - The difference with New Wave is that the buttons are less
rounded and there is a smaller amount of transparency around them, so if
you look carefully, you'll see that while the theme still doesn't look
as good as it does in other programs, the fact is less apparent because
of the nature of
I tried different themes with OpenOffice, and all of the themes with
dark comboboxes and buttons have the same problem. I think it's an issue
with OpenOffice, and not with the themes (unless there's a workaround?).
