I can confirm this bug. Moreover it looks like happen only if the encoding id
utf8. Trying a iso-8859-1 put the text bar size to default size.

Doing latest ubuntu updates Kernel 2.6.15-26, Hybernate still doesn't
work, but this time system doesn't try to hibernate as before and I
receive a warning in the top right corner of the gnome panel reporting
