It would be very appreciated to get this fix backported to 14.04. I am

I also got the crash when doing Window > Customize Perspective > Command
Groups Availability then enabling command groups. But it's not 100% of

Alberto, just to be clear, by "good" I meant the global menu was
disabled and the in-window menu worked and by "bad" I meant the global
menu was enabled and broken.
IMO, on the short term, the workaround to remove the global menu should
be applied by default, as it was in 13.04 because the real is

Interesting, I got the same crash with the same hs_err log containing
webkitWebViewRegisterForIconNotification but when I open the core dump,
the stack is different:

Hi Grant. We've been getting this crash here (3 of us on Ubuntu 13.04).
We all enabled core dumps and installed libwebkitgtk-1.0-0-dbg so
hopefully we can help provide more information.
