Please, please fix this annoying behavior! If it can't be enabled as the
default, provide at least an option to let the user decide. Maybe even
hide it in the gconf database if the casual user should not be able to
touch it.

@hevers: Could it be that the problem reappeared after a reboot? I had
to exchange the driver in the boot image in order to make the change

Seriously? Depending on the usage pattern, the Workspace switcher icon
is simply useless. I always use the keyboard to switch between my
workspaces. And I never use the launcher to start applications or search
for documents, whatever. I therefore removed all default entries from
the launcher.
Please allow the removal of the workspace switcher icon.

Same problem here. I use Natty with 9 virtual workspaces. Eclipse is
opened in the center. Whenever I use Strg+Alt+Cursor to switch from
another workspace to the Eclipse one, and Eclipse gets the focus, the
editors are locked. I have to first switch to another application opened
in the Eclipse
Just tried Natty in a VirtualBox vm. The issue happens for me too. The
switch to DMZ (Black) is not honored.
At least there is an easy workaround. Changing the cursor with
$ sudo update-alternatives --config x-cursor-theme
works!

While ffmpeg captures a mouse cursor, it really does not look like the
system cursor for me, more like a lower resolution version of it. Is
this system dependent?

even when I disable desktop effects, the behavior regarding window list
