Look at arch/x86/kernel/cpu/mshyperv.c. You can detect the presence of

Hi Brad - I am logging this bug on behalf of microsoft, I can't re-

2008 with Hyper-V. I can ask them to provide a log but the bug is
confirmed anyway.

Mark - Option 1 isn't viable since the relevant HV storage drivers are

I think Andy is already working in this, see

As of kernel 3.2, all of drivers (except for the storage driver)

FWIW, I just finished installing beta2 this evening on my Dell Studio
XPS 16 with an Intel Wifi Link 5100, and immediately noticed this
problem. I have no wired connection, and have tried each of B/G/N-only
on my router and observed no change in performance.

Apparently little has changed with this issue in 4.1.2. When I insert
an audio CD, which works fine elsewhere, it is not mounted and can't be
played in Amarok. It will play in KMPlayer, but the audio is very
choppy. Once the disc is inserted it can't be removed until I log out.
Very annoying...
I've been having the same problem with Hardy since a clean install five
days ago.
