i fixed it (on hardy and intrepid).
it's very strange, it was fixed a long time ago in gtk upstrem translation. i
wonder why it wasn't updated on launchpad.

ok... a small misunderstanding.
gnucash's translation is not included on intrepid language packs, it's not
being used on ubuntu translation pages.
the package gnucash-common installs all the translations gnucash has
(including the Hebrew one).
i'm setting this bug as Invalid - there's nothing
i worked with alpha 6 a few days and i didn't encounter this bug (with
Kernel 2.6.27), if any one else can confirm it's fixed too please do so
:-)
BUT, this bug still exists on kernel 2.6.24 that comes with hardy, which
is an LTS release.

But this one has not, and it is pretty serious, as you've just noticed
with a lot of other users.
thing is it's solved in Ubuntu 8.10 - i didn't find any bug that reports this
problem in GNOME's bugzilla and not on launchpad (may be you will have better
luck with it...) so i thought it was

From looking at the patches and the GNOME bug, I don't see how it is related
to this one.
They are about two totally different issues. The GNOME bug is about whether to
display the application RTL or LTR based on what exists.
This bug is an interface bug and affects dialogs already translated

since i didn't find where to translate it using launchpad i made a patch fixing

i believe thatthe bug is on all versions of ubiquity, i saw it on older
versions too.(the screenshots are of version 1.8.7)

don't know if ths is related, but after every restart my wireless card (using
zd1211rw) stops working, if comes back after remove it and plug it back a few
times.

well, i don't know when it will be fixed (my be in a very long time,
there are more serious bugs then this one) so i created a deb package
(modified the thunderbird-locale-ca package - but it work's!).
