Changing repositories worked for me too. Must be some kind of sync
issue.

This morning I was able to upgrade to 14.10, but can't say what the bug was as
I did two things:
Firstly, I removed Unity-tweak-tool
then when I did apt-get update I got the following error:

When I press F5 to run a slideshow shotwell shows white screen with
mouse cursor. I can Alt-tab to other programs with no problems. I press
ESC to get out of slideshow and then Shotwell crashes.

I don't consider it a bug either, but be aware that some other people out there
may encounter the same problem.
I could not simply remove the original mediatomb package, the only way I could
remove it was to edit /var/lib/dpkg/info/mediatomb.prerm, remove the package
then install the Ubuntu
