When running the Banshee included with Ubuntu 9.04, mt-daapd shares that
open can be accessed without issue, however said version of Banshee
cannot connect to password protected mt-daapd shares. :( . The Jaunty
bundled version of Rhythm Box can connect to these same protected
shares, which is great
This is a blocking issue for non-technical users (even for technical
users, it is a massive PITA). It must be addressed as a matter of
priority.

My i686 Maverick installation demonstrates this issue. In my case, I am
using a Plantronics CS60 USB Headset. Force killing any running instance
of the pulseaudio daemon followed by a manual restart of the pulseaudio
service fixes the issue.
