After having restarted a few times (including automatic updates), it suddenly
started working properly.
Gwibber 2.32.2 no longer has this problem.

In the 'Accounts' window, I click on 'Add', then select 'Facebook'.
I enter my login data for Facebook, check the box saying 'remain logged in with
Gwibber', and click 'sign in'.
I am now back in the normal dialog, with the button 'Authorize', _a
There would appear to be a memory leak. This morning (8:00), indicator-
applet was taking up 11% of my old machine’s 512 MB. By now (21:00),
it’s at 13%.
Uptime says the machine's been up 4 days, 2:12, 2 users, load
average: 3.52, 2.99, 2.97
