available in the regular repos.
Reboot. Still the same error messages.
Enabled the utopic-proposed repo and installed kernel 3.16.0.25.26. Reboot.
The messages no longer appear!
Seems good to me!

I've also tested with the kernel from Rafael's PPA, and can confirm that
the alerts are gone for me.
Thanks to everyone involved!

Title:
It doesn't appear fixed to me. Please reopen?
I just installed an m3.medium instance, updated to kernel 3.13.0-37.64
(which should contain the fix) and rebooted.
The errors appear as soon as booting is nearly complete.
From dmesg:

Just ran into this error on Amazon VPC today on a newly created
instance. I know very little about Xen (just an AWS user) but maybe this
extra info will be useful to someone. If I can provide more information,
let me know.
Instance type: m3.medium (HVM)
AMI ID:
I'm seeing the error on multiple servers on multiple virtual platforms, such as:
* Servers running in Amazon VPC, based on the official Ubuntu AMI.
* Servers running in VMware ESXi, based on the official Ubuntu Server 12.04 ISO.

The same happens with the mydumper command. Only 'mydumper --help' and
'mysqldumper --version' run without segfaulting.

Somehow, all my messing around (see previous comment) had broken my
Windows 7 installation so that even the recovery tools on the Windows 7
cd could no longer fix it. Thankfully this was a fresh install, so I
decided to do some more testing.
I eventually used Disk Utility from an Ubuntu live-cd
This bug still persists with Ubuntu 12.04 Desktop.
I installed Windows 7 SP1 64-bit on a harddisk scavenged from a Mac
today. i deleted all current partitions and split the drive in two
partitions in the Windows installer. Windows automatically created a
small third partition at the beginning of

Agreed, downgrading to 0.1.12-10 works as a workaround.
Does anyone know a permanent solution?

You're right Michael, it appears to have been a transient problem with

I have the same issue as Daniel has at his comment
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/amavisd-
new/+bug/165184/comments/2
Amavisd-new and spamassassin are working fine in Hardy, but still outputting
the informational messages from the sa-sync cronjob:
bayes: synced databases from journal
That seems reasonable enough. Since we apparently can't distinguish the
server version from the desktop version this general message is a reasonable
pointer to the relevant docs.
This does not resolve the issue of the guide not being available to people
experiencing problems with their network
