Shows up as a new update but cannot download the .deb. Looks like a
permission problem on the repository.

Just by way of more information, The live CD did not work for the same
reason. I had to ctrl-alt-f1 to get a shell, then startx by hand to get
to the install tool. I have to do this each time I boot now.

I have two 8800gt connected with SLI connector, pcie set in bios as
default. Each boot I get an error that the graphics cards are not
detected correctly and asks me to configure manually.

It looks like the http://www.grad.hr/~ivoks/ubuntu/gutenprint repository
doesnt have a version of ijsgutenprint which will install and thus
nothing will.
