On Ubuntu 13.10, there is a dialog showing up before the the computer
goes to sleep warning that the computer will soon go to sleep. When the
computer wakes up, that warning is still there. I would expect the
warning to disappear when the computer wakes up.

Responding to Guillaume: I don't know if I'm in my own list. I'm not in
my list with the other clients. And I can't remove myself from the list.
So I really think it's not normal.

I have the same problem when I boot my computer. Internal Error -
Failed to initialize HAL! when I login. Then I have all sorts of wrong
behaviors like automounting not working.
If I then logout and log back in, everything is fine. It looks like a
race condition described here:
Removing the automatic connection did solve the problem for me. So I
confirm that it is a race condition here.

since my last feisty update, I have the same bug. When the power is
plugged, everything is ok. When I unplug it, it show the charging icon
and it always show that the battery is full. If I over my mouse over the
icon, the good information is shown in the contextual window. So it

Hi,
When I upgraded this morning, I was left with many application not
working. All wine related application and openoffice. Probably some
others. They throw the following error message when starting:
soffice.bin: xcb_xlib.c:50: xcb_xlib_unlock: l'assertion « c-xlib.lock »
can't fix bugs related to proprietary drivers.
One being a windows NDIS driver, and the other being a proprietary
nvidia driver.

I'm on kubuntu 6.10 and I have to connect to a wpa network. I installed kwlan
but never got it to work. Here is what I do:
* press scan to have a liste of networks.
* choose the network I want
* I enter my password and click add and get the error message failed to
I confirm that bug on kubuntu 6.10. For me, the timeout before switching
out the monitor always reset itself to 5 hours. It work when I change
it. It is in memory but not on disk. It does not get saved.

I found that the problem is the date description string has the minutes
in uppercase. If I put them in lowercase, it works.
The default configuration for french is still wrong.

the package for psm with that version of firefox is libnss3. It is
installed and all the files are there. I tried to re install it (firefox
also). But it changed nothing. I'm puzzled.

Since I upgraded to edgy, all kde applications stopped showing minutes
with the houre. If it is 9:15, the display will say 9:MM. All the
applications are showing the MM instead of the minutes.

Since I upgraded to edgy, wireless assitant does not connect to any
ESSID. I choose a network and it says connection failed. Then I go to
the command line and do sudo ifup wlan0 and the connection comes up.

The BCM43XX does not support the 4311 yet. Actually, they are working on
it and I eard that it was partially working now. But that version is not in
the 2.6.17 kernel. And I don't know what partially working mean. Well, I
guess we'll have a working driver

I use use ndiswrapper at the same time has the nvidia driver. Everything
work fine for something like 20 minutes. Then, the wifi card just stops
working.
