Thank you Nicolas for fixing Evolution so I can read email again.
I am somewhat vision impaired and changing the desktop theme is not a
reasonable option for me.
Your instructions worked perfectly.

Same for me except my Gtk-WARNING lines alternate between -11 and -1.
It draws a window that almost looks usable but the window is
unresponsive and just there until apport is done and then it disappears.

This workaround also fixed the same problem (missing libdbwrap.so) that
was breaking regtree, regshell, etc, from the registry-tools package.

Hi Chenna,
Perhaps you are getting a different version of the package than I am?
If I type "aptitude show bcmwl-kernel-source" it shows me:
Version: 6.20.155.1+bdcom-0ubuntu6
If you see an earlier version then maybe I have more or different
repositories enabled in my /etc/apt/sources.list file. I
bcmwl-kernel-source version 6.20.155.1+bdcom-0ubuntu6
just built and installed without error on my Dell D830 running 3.8.0-30-generic.
Thanks!

If there is a problem using the most recent version of the bnx2 driver I have
confirmed
the older 1.7.9-2 driver included in CentOS 5 works with this hardware.

There was no core file in /var/crash.
I followed the instructions you sent and have attached the file that
resulted. I did install the dvgrab-dbgsym package though you wouldn't
know it from all the "no debugging symbols found" messages.
Thanks for your help.

I have just recovered from this! You don't have to kill off your session.
I used a terminal window that had focus on that desktop and killed the
only gnome-screensaver I saw running; then ran a new gnome-screensaver.
Then I went out for coffee. When I got back I had forgotten what I
was doing and
I can confirm the behavior but I can't confirm that it's a bug in the
screensaver. I can reproduce this inside a 3 day window.
