I don't know if the error reported is correct. The problem I have is
that the system freezes and becomes unresponsive, both the keyboard and
touchpad are unresponsive. It is not a single error of an isolated
program, but of the system. The only way to get it to work again is

Chris, this was my work around:
I finally decide to try using a grabber. Surprisingly the grabber for my
country (Argentina) worked perfectly and added all my channels with name
included.
So, when you add a source chose a grabber. Then on Input connections select
the source and press Fetch
Using kernel 2.6.28 also fixed this for me.
I guess the 2.6.31 kernel broke something in the saa7134 module.

Same here. It happened after Jaunty - Karmic upgrade.
This also happens on mythtv. So I guess is related to the kernel, instead of
tvtime
My video card is a saa7134 based one.

Using Alternate Edgy 20061710, when selecting laguage from boot (F4) Spanish
for the rest of the installation it will asume that live in Spain...but I live
in Argentina. Timezones to select will only be the ones correspoding to Spain.
