If I go to a webpage with audio--namely, a YouTube video--it won't play
unless I stop the music playing in Rhythmbox. Once done watching the
video, Rhythmbox won't produce any audio unless
I have re-opened this bug. Updating ALSA to 1.0.23 solved the front
audio problem, but it brings another problem: when a process uses audio,
it monopolizes audio until it is stopped/killed.
If I watch a YouTube video, then open Rhythmbox, I can't play my music
until I quit Firefox.

Update to bug: If I set the "Output volume" to _only_ 100%, the scratchy
effect goes away, _however_, the problem still remains that the output

Ubuntu 9.10; just did an in-place upgrade from 9.04.
Audio worked perfectly with 9.04. With 9.10, audio quality is scratchy,
and I can't get the same loudness as I could with 9.04. "Sound
Preferences" has my hardware listed as "Internal Audio /
I only have one computer at home--and it's my daily computer, so I'd
rather not run a beta OS on it. Would there be any issues if I ran 9.10
in a VirtualBox?
