issue seems to be caused by a customization I've made to my user. Since
I need to work with projects made to run with Python 2.6 I linked
$HOME/bin/python to /usr/bin/python2.6. I've never experienced the
problem again after r

Today I've experienced the same problem again: while trying to debug the
cause I've logged in and out a couple of times and at the end the
extension started working again. It seems to me that sometimes the code
fails to get the dbu

account whose protocol is "maildir".
