sorry to hear kacpid is still giving you trouble. My case went away after I
installed a high end sound card. Not sure why but it did.

detected as a mass storage unit, and dmesg reports a lots unknown
device errors. If I rmmod the usb-storage module then I can connect

Ubuntu Intrepid with latest updates. I have a creative ZEN Stone (1 GB) not
being shown in the RB tree. Gnome shows it in the desktop, ask whether I want
to launch RB, and from Nautilus I can browse the device as usual.

After the release upgrade MTP was not checked (it was in the 8.04, because I
used rhythmbox to transfer files to the player)
I checked it but the Creative Zen is not detected. I have a 30GB Ipod (5th
gen), which is correctly handled even in 8.10, but I know is taken by another
Update, I found out that the bug has been already open: Bug #270203.
A fix has been already released but did not work for some guys, neither worked
for me.

I restarted it and it worked fine. I restarted it agin and it didn't
work.
Copying and pasting text works fine but if I copy text and then copy an
image the text that I copied is pasted and not the image.

After installing using Synaptic Package Manager the command:
nautilus -q
needs to be run so that the installation is complete. This should be
automated in my opinion.

I had the same problem and restarting nautilus using the command
'nautilus -q' solved the problem. This command should be run
automatically.
I am using ubuntu hardy. I installed the package using Synaptic Package
Manager.
