I just tried out the patch. It apparently refers to an older version of
the source file if I interpret the output from patch correctly, but it
was applied fine and resolves the issue for me.
The zsnes project at sourceforge seems to be inactive. There have been

Using a USB gamepad (Saitek Ps 2700 Rumble), I assigned a normal button
layout in zsnes that uses the "hat" for up/down/left/right (I'm
referring to the digital direction input, not the analog stick). When

it only happened once. From the generated bug report I'd take a wild
guess and say that hald died for some reason, and that gpm relied on it
for its data, but stopping hald does not seem to impede the
functionality of the panel
This happens for me as well, at least the part about a syntax error in
KeyboardSVG.py. Apart from the message the install worked for me though,
i.e. the error was ignored and did not prevent the package from being
marked as configured.

I just noticed that the gnome-power-manager panel icon shows the
charging icon, and the tooltip claims the battery is at 83% and
charging, but the laptop has been connected for hours. Clicking the icon
once shows one battery with the a
update-manager had apparently been downloading and installing the
updates (in some worker thread that shouldn't have done that I guess),
since I could find all the updated packages in /var/cache/apt/archives
and there were a lot of half-configured packages.

This bug didn't happen anymore since the original report, neither in
Hardy, nor in Intrepid (though I never used Wicd in Intrepid, so that's
at least one other factor changed). Also, I sold the laptop in question
two days ago, so I can't do any further tests.

Intrepid on an eee pc 901). I had no problem getting it to work in Hardy
on my old notebook, and it's definitely not a hardware/usb problem
(retrieving my notes via pilot-link using port "usb:" works)
