Dear Jean, the problem was solved clean install 7.10, and I think the
NVIDIA proprietary drivers if you try install directly can be difficult,
but now with 8.04 there is not problem because since Ubuntu recognize
the video card.

I fix the problem using window wireless network and
using the driver from netgear I use ME, the only think
you need to make sure the you have only two files .INF
and sys, the thid one or other need to be deleted.

I fix the problem besides the Ubuntu 8.04 does not installed linux-
ubuntu-modules-2.6.24-12-386, there is a comflict with video drivers
devise, I just deleted all the files with VDR. 8.04 after 8 hours of

I have the feeling this has to do with Realtek and Gigabited mother
board, so I think is hardware problem perhaps.

Resolve problem, I had to edit the xconfigure and add:
Load dri
Section DRI
Mode 0666
EndSection
which was not included in the drivers for NVIDIA
