If you are having problems trying to blacklist the sytem bell, here is the reason: There is another open bug about this, but the modprob.d files are now appended with .conf so, instead of adding blacklist pcspkr to /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist add it to /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf
