Ok. so after a little more research it seems like that old package

Jockey does now add the Option "AddARGBGLXVisuals" "True" line to the

@nanley: i surely hope so. You are at least the second person that the proposed
solution has worked for.

nvidia-glx package.

No window decorations using compiz fusion after creating new user

@Martin: Understood except that i have installed the newer:
nvidia-glx 1:96.43.05+2.6 NVIDIA binary XFree86 4.x/X.Org driver
And DID require the addition of the Option to get window decorations.
While im not a fan of throwing the kitchen sink at the problem, does its

seems related to bug #154596 to me. which is basically jockey improperly adding
nvidia to your xorg.conf (missing 1 all important line).

removed xserver-xgl (and deps), added option to screen section, forced X

USED to have added manually, and one i though that was at least
installed by nvidia-settings or nvidia-xconfig. neither did. so as the
story goes my problem
adding the xserver-xgl (and its deps) package and restarting X solved
the problem for me. perhaps these should be dependencies if we are going
to enable basis desktop effects by default? or is this solution masking
some other symptom?

I didnt actually "set it up". I'm very familiar with Xorg.conf files and

@paul
this worked for me, your mileage may vary:
1. remove your edits of your conf files.
2. remove the links/trusts shown in bluetooth-properties
3. make your device visable and connectable
4. make sure the input service is running on that tab.
5. put your mouse in pairing mode and move it around
the new automated way is great and even an improvement over making
people par the devices with a developed UI/CLI. That said i dont seem to
be able to make the network service work automatically without pand, and
i havent tried anythign dund related. Anyone with better success or a

@mlind: the binaries are missing but the service files are present and
