NB. I haven't been able to recreate this bug so I'm not sure what caused
it. However I am reporting it and a fix as a record of its exsistance.

I have had jaunty installed since the beta release came out. Terminator
was installed during this period. Winff was installed on the day of the
final release.

I cleared my gnome configuration files and the clock is indeed now
working as expected. In hind sight I should have tried this first.

Binary package hint: gnome-panel
The clock applet on the gnome-panel fails to display the weather. Though
a space is created for the place where the weather would be stored.
Steps to reproduce:
1) Right-click on the clock applet
2) Select preferences > Locations tab; add Lo
I have a similar problem in Ubuntu Jaunty 9.04
$ apt-get install gnome-themes gnome-themes-extra
System > Preference > Appearance
select darklooks theme.
The theme installs fine and any open applications change as they should.

When you say it freezes do you mean glxgears or the whole desktop? It
might be worth trying desktop effects just to see what happens.
Just to confirm are you still running 8.04 or have you upgraded to 8.10?
If you've checked these things and still have problems it would be best
to file a new bug

myself. The key is to make sure the developers have enough information.

reproduce this bug with a driver supported by Ubuntu, ie in the official
