Same problem: First a U11.10 installation into a 'normal' partition, all
fine.
Later I set up a Logical Volume (actually using CentOS, which is also
installed on the machine). I installed lvm2 in Ubuntu and added the path
to the LV in /etc/fstab. The Logical Volume is available after boot, no
erro
For me, it happens in Parallels Desktop about 30 sec. after login. With
unity-2d.
Basically the same as in 11.04 in VirtualBox :-(

installer is almost useless. I tried for two days to do a rather simple
setup: two identical disks, RAID 1 for sda1 / sdb1, LVM on top of this

I can confirm this bug. Synaptic works fine on ubuntu, but hangs after
every install in kubuntu 8.04 'KDE 4 remix'. I guess it waits for the
end of some process but for some reason doesn't get informed when this
process ends.

clicking *twice* on 'Select order' gets you where you want; can't F-Spot
use the same GUI concepts as other programs?

I too confirm this problem on Hardy 8.04 with all updates as of today.
I am using vmware server 1 (running Windows XP in it). Within vmware,
everything is fine.
My guess is that this bug is somehow vmware related, but it also has to
do with Ubuntu 8.04 or its components (X, Gnome, Compiz?). I use
