Probably after an upgrade of kernel to 5.11.0-25-generic from
5.8.0-50-generic which worked well in this regard, sound in the
Focusrite card started to be high-pitched and distorted. When I use the
normal audio output, the sound is correct.

Today, also one window of Firefox froze. Do you think it is a similar
bug there? Can an application bug cause a window in which it is to be
completely irresponsive? I cannot move it, nor click any of the three
top buttons, nor can I close it by a Gnome extension for forcefully
closing windows.

It sometimes happens, just like now, that I am unable to play any
youtube or local file - when I click play, the progress bar does not
move and there is no sound. I have to unplug and plug in the USB cable
