I manages to install kubuntu using debootstrap. Anyway, I think the problem is

I have a recovery partition in which I copied somehow the livecd into it. Apart
of it, I booted with the real livecd(ucing a real cdrom), but what is mounted
in /cdrom is my /dev/sda1

this because in kopete I have the contacts linked to the kaddressbook

Happening the same here, x freezing randomly, so no mouse, no keyboard,

try to read long web pages where you mark the words you're reading by
selecting the text( so I don't get lost ) ;-) I called it funny behavior
the first times, hehethen the flicker becomes annoying :-)
Anywayzzz...this looks like a misbehavior and not a feature request( or

All filters were ok...sudo update-apt-xapian-index solved the
problemthanks

I'm trying to search for some plasmoids on adept package manager and
when I type plasmoid I only get the plasmoid-quickaccess package. I
found this strange and typed apt-cache search plasmoid on the console,
which got me this:
plasmoid-quickaccess
Searching for plasmoid-cpuload on adept doesn't show any result either

I'm trying kepas bur it doesn't seem to send anything to buddies in my network.
I tried to send a file and a clipboard string with no success. The reverse( my
friend sending stuff to me ) didn't work either.
Using kubuntu 8.10 with kde 4.1.3
That is not correctI also noticed this behavior on normal size text

I was using kmail under kontact and when I selected all mail( ctrl+a ) it
crashed without a crash handler window, so I can't figure out more details
about it.
Oh yes...I lost all kmail configurations. They were reset to default.

kubuntu 8.10 with kde 4.1.3 updated. All mail accounts are IMAP.
But, here's an updatekdevelop was crashing without kcrash showing up
too, so I decided to reboot, so...when all apps were closing, kcrash
just poped up ( the kontact one ).
