I cam to launchpad to report a kernel crash with hfsplus also.
I was playing music in Rhythmbox from a file on an external USB HFS+ partition,
and suddenly my X session vanished and I was looking at a console window with
some debug/error text messages.
A few seconds later, my computer
/var/log/syslog excerpt from crash
