Definite ditto here! I'm sure it looks luvverley with a visible panel. Sadly,
not so with a transparent panel. Quite hideous actually :-)

I miss my cairo dock. It's my only way back in to Unity if it crashes. No
ctrl+Alt+T, no Alt+F2, I'm suffering here :-)

I agree entirely. The 10.04 (and previous) installer had to be changed
because it wouldn't recognise some modern partition types, but apart
from that, there was nothing wrong with its layout. This new one is
