I think I may have found a problem and it is in the way that the library
is built.
By default if TDS version is not specified it will set the TDS version
to 5.0. There is a way to reset the version of connection after the
login, but there doesn't appear to be any calls to the function that
does

This bug may be coming in a few incarnations but it seems to be a bug
with the DBUS system on Jaunty
The original error reported doesn't go away with the latest updates and
is actually being reported on quite a bit of other GNOME programs when
trying to display back to the Jaunty Host.
I have
A little further investigation revealed the following. This issue
doesn't appear to be taking place when running commands remotely from
Intrepid displaying on Jaunty and from Jaunty displaying on Intrepid but
when running Jaunty-Jaunty bug appears.
